How do you know if your Guides are speaking to you? Are you hearing your own thoughts or is it your Guide communicating with you? Many people have difficulty discerning the difference between their own thoughts and feelings and knowing if it is a Guide’s guidance they’re receiving.
There are a few signs to tell the difference if it’s your mind or your Guides doing the talking. Spirit Guides don’t necessarily bluntly tell you what to do. Guides DO help you feel and try to understand your life choices and options better. The one thing to remember is that you can always trust that your Guides have your best interest at heart… so they will never lead you down a path of destruction or negativity.
If you have a problem trusting your intuitive guidance, don’t worry! It is completely normal at first and the best thing that you can do to open your heart and your mind is to relax and take it slow. When you focus in on the communication and chatter that is going on in your head, you will start to understand what thoughts are your own and what thoughts may be coming from your Guides.
Sometimes it helps to listen LESS to your brain and MORE to your heart. Tune in to how your heart is feeling. How does it feel in your soul? Thinking less and feeling more can be one of the first steps in learning to trust in your Guides.
Many times it helps to get out in nature. I take daily walks outside with my dogs to connect and clear my mind. Not only is it incredibly therapeutic, it connects our soul and allows us to listen better to not only the outside around us, but the inside as well.
Start small and don’t rush or force yourself to feel and hear things. Have a birthday present you need to purchase for a friend? Trust your guidance on that decision and have confidence. You’ll start using this confidence and guidance on everyday things going on throughout your life.
