Last week I was walking Micah in the woods near my home. I always trust my dogs off-leash because they have always come when called. However, this particular time, Micah darted out of my view and ran after something. He didn’t come when I called him. I walked down the steep side to try and find him, but Micah was nowhere in sight. It was going to be dark soon, and he didn’t know his way around our new surroundings.
He was lost, and I panicked.
I ran to a neighbor’s house to find out where the woods lead. She gave me some direction and sent me on my way. I was terrified. Where had Micah gone? What should I do?
I went home to get my car keys and decided to post that he was missing on the Membership for Your Soul wall. I needed all their magic to help me.
Then, I called the police, the Humane Society, and a healer before I jumped in my car to go back and search more. I was beside myself with terror.
Once at the trail, I ran to the woods. Part way there I met two women. They hadn’t seen Micha, but they proceeded to tell me, “I sure hope he doesn’t go near the coyotes. We’ve been hearing them howl each night.”
I put up my hand and yelled, “Stop!” That was the last thing I needed to hear.
I went back down the hill and drove around once again, but still no Micah. I heard Guidance say, “Go back to the woods.” This time, I brought Venus with me and called Micah’s name the whole way.
All of a sudden, a bush in front of me started moving. Not knowing if it was a coyote or some other wild animal, I stopped. And out popped Micah’s big, cute head! He was as happy to see me as I was him. I stood there on a very steep path with both my dogs and cried tears of gratitude.
We all got in the car and went home. Once there, I got online to tell the Membership for your Soul members that Micah was okay. And that’s when I saw it. During the time I was out looking for him, dozens of comments poured in with prayers, energy, love, comfort, and healing to help me find Micah. Some members had even messaged me on my private page.
That’s what I love about Membership for Your Soul! They are the most loving, spiritual, healing, caring, and compassionate community I have ever met. Their concern and love touched me deeply.
I know the power of my community brought Micah back to me that night.

“i want to share something with y’all. my life has turned around in such an amazing way that i must express my thanks and appreciation to each and every person in Membership. sure i live in a homeless shelter but that is just another step on the journey to show me again, and i need the lessons to underline the false beliefs i didn’t know were still there, that thoughts are things and when you feel worth-less in some part of you, it manifests to get you to work on it and rid yourself of it.
i joined Soulful Living some time between Jan and March 2017 and Membership soon afterwards. the closeness and love in this Community made me very uncomfortable and i didn’t trust it. it brought up every false belief i had and it was tough.
i was tempted to leave a few times because i simply did not understand why people, complete strangers, were being so kind caring and loving towards me. who were they to care for and about me, a complete stranger who had no idea why she joined or why her tight-fisted brother offered and paid for her year’s membership. and that was initially my main reason for staying.
but then i kinda settled in and i absorbed much later on the fact that after leaving switzerland and my three friends across the big water and some like to say, my heart was closed, i had shut down completely after life-changing events which also revealed every single lack in my psyche.
the fact that i was back in a strange land (of my birth no less), where not a single soul cared for or about me and my well-being yet wanted anything and everything they could get out of me further pushed me back into my shell where i was accustomed living.
the only problem there was i realised the shell had become transparent. i couldn’t hide.
that made me wonder during days weeks of reflection how and why these strangers in Membership for your Soul invited chided comforted encouraged supported and accepted me, warts and all, when those whom i thought knew me didn’t accept anything about me except when they were profiting from my actions?
it boggles my mind, explodes in my imagination and fills my heart with such love and gratitude, that you all have become my real family.
you see i didn’t know that love was abundance too. kind of naive. right? typical me and i laugh at myself in wonder that i never knew that. never imagined that. told me how long i was living out in the cold. when inside was my whole world.
so. i just want to say Thank You to all of you and to Marilyn especially, for creating such an amazing and powerful group of like-minded and heart and soul-filled people in one place. this group is about to explode so i suggest you all hold onto your seats. this is a secret that other like-minded and heart-filled individuals will want to enter.
i just wanted to say Thank You to every single soul here. that’s all really????????????”
Update: Catherine no longer lives in a homeless shelter. Since writing this, she was able to secure housing, and she’s working on building her business. Join us to hear all about it next week!
