Marilyn’s Soul Session Summary

Have you ever felt completely trapped by the circumstances in your life or struggled to see your way out of where you are to a better life?

We all deal with things that challenge us because life isn’t a single moment or destination. It’s a journey. And there are bumps, detours, and unexpected things, even when you’re heading in the right direction.

But sometimes, we face something more like a landslide or tsunami where we simultaneously feel out of control and trapped.

Weekly Wisdom: It’s so easy to get swallowed up by dark thoughts and challenges, but you have to keep focusing on where you want to be and letting that light shine brighter.

This week we had a special guest during the Facebook Live. We talked with Cindy, who was feeling completely trapped by life circumstances and uncertain of what to do. She was going through a rough time and ended up spending some time in jail four years ago.

That’s about as far from personal freedom as you can get, eh? But Cindy didn’t give up. And now, she’s about to graduate from a two-year course and open her own business.

How do you turn things around?

Frankly, there were some dark times for Cindy. There were days when she just wanted to hide and have it all go away. But then she’d refocus and work on the next step she needed to take to move forward.

When she couldn’t see her way, she reached out for help.

There’s nothing wrong with going to somebody, especially somebody who doesn’t make you dependent on them. They give you action steps and help you make changes. But then, you have to take the information and do something with it.

What about when pain, anxiety, or other issues hit?

Remind yourself of who you are, how you want to feel, the virtues you live by, and the achievements you’ve accomplished. Reach out if you need to, have faith you’ll get through it, know yourself and have tools to throw at your personal challenges, and focus, focus, focus on the outcome you want. If it helps, picture the trauma leaving your body.

Next week, I’ll be live on Tuesday at 12 pm Pacific. Feel free to invite your friends and family to join us, too. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!

XO,

Marilyn
